About Christopher Sears MD

Dr. Sears grew up in Tiffin, attending Hopewell-Loudon high school prior to achieving his Bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Philosophy at Wright State University.  He completed his Medical School training at Wright State University as well, and remained in Dayton for his residency training at Kettering Medical Center.  He moved back to Tiffin in 2005 and opened his practice at CD Sears M.D. Inc.  Along with his office practice, Dr. Sears is the medical director for the Tiffin Mercy hospitalist program, and also serves as medical director at Tiffin Developmental Center, The Willows of Tiffin, and the Seneca County Jail.  In his spare time, he volunteers as an assistant varsity wrestling coach at Hopewell-Loudon and also volunteers as a team physician for their football team.  Dr. Sears has won a number of awards including the Ronald R. Beljan scholarship for exceptional medical students at Wright State University, the Albert Brust “Internal Medicine Residency Award of Excellence” at Kettering Medical Center, the “Physician Excellence in Mission” award at Mercy Hospital in 2007 and the “Inspirational Leadership” award at Mercy Hospital in 2018.
